This dissertation explores the incorporation of the Semantic Web technology with one of the latest argument representation formats. First I introduce an extension of the Argument Interchange Format (AIF) ontology; then I put for-ward AIF-RDF, which is the extended ontology represented in the Resource Description Framework Schema (RDFS) semantic language. Finally, based on the theoretical and ontology foundations described in the thesis, I present the implementation of ArgDF: a Semantic Web-based system built to represent and visualize arguments.
