It can imitate psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, psychosis, and dementia.1 There are a few cases of neurosyphilis with dementia that were reported previously.2–4 Here, we report on a patient who was first diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, but who was finally shown to have neurosyphilis. Case Report A 49-year-old man without a family history of psychiatric or neurologic illness was referred to our psychiatry clinic because of memory impair-ment, speech disturbance, ag-gressiveness, insomnia, suicidal behaviors, self-mutilation, apathy, hyperphagia, disorganized behav-iors such as undressing and urinating in improper places within the last 2 years....
