This interactive session with will engage participants to help compare the work expectations of young pathologists with those the real world. Featured will be the translation of the six ACGME competencies to the real world of pathology. The pathologist's role in patient care, medical staff organizations, lab staff management, and administrative functions will also be discussed. • Participants will be able to identify the typical practice settings for pathologists and assess their scope and specialties relevant to individual professional skills. • Participants will be able to define how the six competencies acquired in pathology residency are demonstrated in the interactive practice environment. • Participants will acquire specific tools to assist in their personal advancement through examples and discussion (writing a CV, etc.) FACULTY
