The Asia Society is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public education organization dedicated to increasing American understanding of the more than thirty countries broadly defined as the Asia-Pacific region–a region which, for the Asia Society, extends from Iran to Japan, as far north as Central Asia, and as far south as Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. Through its programs on current events, business, the fine and performing arts, and elemen-tary and secondary education, the Asia Society reaches audiences across the United States and works closely with colleagues in Asia.
