The Intelligent Topic Map-Based Multi-Resource Knowledge Services System ★

Providing high-quality knowledge services for users has been becoming increasingly important in a multiple, distributed and heterogeneous knowledge resources environment. Intelligent topic map extends the conventional topic map in structure and enhances the reasoning functions. It embodies the multi-level, multi-granularity and inherent relevant characteristics of knowledge, and then realizes knowledge reasoning. Additionally, the intelligent topic map is exploited as the platform for multi-resource knowledge services which provides the functions of knowledge fusion, knowledge navigation, knowledge recommendation and knowledge visualization. The architecture of Intelligent Topic Map-based Multi-resource Knowledge Services System (ITMMKSS) is presented. Finally, a demonstration of multi-resource knowledge service based on intelligent topic map is given to elaborate the service providing process
