The problem of this paper is aerodynamic design of 8:1 pressure ratio centrifugal compressor possessing high performance. Design target is to achieve 81 – 82 % adiabatic efficiency for 1.5 – 2.8 kg/s corrected mass flow-rate. This investigation is a part of research program started in 1997 consisting in N-S design and numerical evaluation with subsequent tests of centrifugal compressors of successively increasing total pressure ratio. Perfection of numerical quasi-3D design tool accompanied extensive numerical study of 3D viscous flow peculiarities.
