NHS Shetland’s Nursing Strategy for 2008-2011 sets out the priorities for nurses and midwives in Shetland for the next three years to enable them to respond to the challenges of providing health care for the people of Shetland. Better Health, Better Care, published by the Scottish Government in December 2007 sets out the national priorities for the delivery of health care services over the coming years. It is vital that Nurses and Midwives make the most of the opportunities that this poses, whilst championing the patient experience.
