Abstract: Studies on information/education as a wilderness management practice are highly diverse, pro-viding both theoretical and empirical understanding, employing a variety of message types and media, and addressing a variety of management issues and target audiences. Generally, these studies suggest that infor-mation/education can be an effective and desirable management tool.
