Portugal T hetypicalbehaviourof commercialpropanecombustionin a laboratorysizefluidizedbed of silica sand is described.Four differentsizes of sandparticleswere used(-500+400,-400+315,-315+250 and-250+200/-lm). The fluidizedbed washeatedfrom400to 900°C,while mixturesof air andpropanewith variousequivalence fatiaswereblown into thebedthroughthe distributor,andthe molefractionsof CO2, CO andO2 in the flue gasesleavingthe fluidizedbed weremeasuredandrecorded.Analysis of theexperimentalresults,especiallyof the CO2 evolution,revealedtrendsand a general classificationfor theexperiments.
