The CMS Pixel Detector has been commissioned in beam collisions at the LHC. This contribution describes the commissioning and operational experience with first LHC beams. Results discussed include the charge measurement calibration, timing alignment, hardware efficiency, thresholds, and beam backgrounds. The present status of the detector and operational performance during the first LHC run are presented. 19th International Workshop on Vertex Detector
