evaluated the learning management system Fronter as part of a human computer interaction (HCI) course. Usability evaluation of information systems is central to the HCI curriculum. This paper summarizes the most important findings in this study. The local administrators of the learning management system were informed of the problems identified and several modifications have since been implemented as a result of the student feedback. Experiences show that usability evaluation of e-learning software is frequently neglected, and that students should be included as evaluators of such e-learning software.
