ABSTRACT: The Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy modality will be identified within the traditions of deep experiential psychotherapy, humanistic psychology, and transpersonal psychotherapy, differentiated from the Freudian analytic tradition of cognitive verbal therapy. We will identify the component elements of this eclectic modality, and how and why each is used. Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy combines elements of traditional and Ericksonian hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transactional Analysis (TA), developmental psychology, behavior modification, Gestalt techniques, pre- and perinatal psychology, and chakra opening.
