In this paper, we present a methodology which allows OpenMP code generation and makes the design of paral-lel applications easier. The methodology is based on the Model Driven Engineering (MDE) approach. Starting from UML models at a high abstraction level, OpenMP code is generated through several metamodels which have been defined. Results show that the produced code is competitive with optimized code
