The paper describes the work done on "Load Sharing Dynamic Routing " applied to telephone networks. A model for the traffic in a n-stage telephone network operating under the load sharing policy is developed. An algorithm is described where the optimal load sharing percentages are calculated in order to minimize the global loss of the network assuming a constant mean offered traffic. A centralised control algorithm is described and it is used to dynamically regulate the network by tracking the optimal carried traffic calculated at the previous step. A simulation program has been used to validate the algorithms. Finally some of the conclusions obtained are presented. 1
