Abstract—A simple strategy to generate interleaver sets is pro-posed. Possible applications include interleave-division multiplex-ing (IDM), interleave-division multiple access (IDMA), and related techniques such as multi-layer IDMA (ML-IDMA). Compared to the interleavers proposed in the literature, helical interleavers can be generated more efficiently, and require less bits to specify the interleaver patterns. Index Terms— I
