Research and publication is among the important aspects of student’s academic life that assists in progress in the field of studies by increasing the knowledge and also ensures a bright future for the students. In simple language research refers to a search for knowledge. One can also define research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. On the hand, Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of Current English defines research as “a careful investigation or inquiry especially through search for new facts in any branch of knowledge”. Daymon & Holloway (2002) explains that research process starts from the exploration of previous work done in the concerned field. This scanning of literatures (from any source: books, journals, newspapers, internet sources) as well as previous research works are of paramount importance in a research endeavour and establishes the rationale for the work. Borg & Gall (1989) described literatures survey’s purpose as “to serve as a foundation for the justification and to strengthen the importance of research problem”.
